The Turkish Karate Federation Abroad (YTKF) commemorated the late İbrahim Altınova on October 25, 2025. The Dan equivalence and Dan exam were held in Germany. The event, included in the YTKF’s 2025 activity program, was held at the Hara Sports Facilities in Cologne.
Following the restructuring process, the YTKF accelerated this event as an umbrella organization for athletes and coaches practicing karate abroad. The authorities’ decision to organize a commemoration day in honor of Sensei İbrahim Altınova was met with praise.
After the Federation’s founding, the late Altınova, who served alongside Founding President İlhan Değirmenci as one of the founders, has not been forgotten. His services and work were frequently brought to the forefront, and he was fondly remembered by President Değirmenci, the YTKF Board, and the participants.
The German-based federation’s Dan equivalence and Dan exam will be held in the last quarter of 2025, marking the start of future activities. The connection between YTKF and the umbrella organization of Turks abroad has once again become more important, and its sister organization with TKF has become an important official act.
